If they answer not to thy call walk alone,
If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall,
O thou of evil luck,
open thy mind and speak out alone.
If they turn away, and desert you when crossing the wilderness,

trample the thorns under thy tread,
and along the blood-lined track travel alone.
If they do not hold up the light when the night is troubled with storm,

with the thunder flame of pain ignite thy own heart
and let it burn alone.
૭ મે, ૧૮૬૧નાં રોજ ભારતને પ્રથમ નૉબલ પ્રાઈઝ અપાવનાર વિરલ વ્યક્તિ રવિન્દ્રનાથ ટાગોરનો જન્મ થયેલો. વળી, સાહિત્યમાં તેમને આ પારિતોષિક મળેલો, અને અન્ય ભાષાની જેમ ગુજરાતી સાહિત્યમાં પણ ગાંધીવિચારધારાની જેમ તેમનો પણ પ્રભાવ રહેલો. રવિન્દ્રસંગીત જેવું જ …. !! આમ તો આ ગીત ગાંધીજી માટે એમણે લખેલું, પણ કોઈ પણ વ્યક્તિ માટે કોઈ પણ સંજોગોમાં તે એટલું જ પ્રસ્તુત છે. મારા માટે તો ગાંધીજી, આઈન્સ્ટાઇન કે ટાગોર એક spiritual personality ન હોવા છતાં કોઈ ગુરુથી કમ નથી. કારણ એમણે ઉપદેશ નથી આપ્યાં પણ તેવું જીવ્યાં છે. મને તો રસોગુલ્લા આજે અનાયાસે જ મળી ગયાં તેમનાં જન્મદિનની પાર્ટીનાં …… તો તમારા માટે પણ રસોગુલ્લા જેવું જ મિષ્ટી ગીત….. !! અને તેમનાં શબ્દોનાં રંગો જોવા આ પેઈન્ટિંગ જરુર જોશો. બન્ને ગીતો માટે મેહુલનો ખૂબ ખૂબ આભાર….. !!

એકલા જવાની મજા અને વ્યથા માણી જોજો. એ અનુભવ એક વાર લેવા જેવો છે. ઘણું બધું જાણવા મળશે, અને અંદર વધારે ઉતરાશે. સર્જકતા માટે બન્ને જરુરી છે. ત્યારે જ રવીન્દ્રનાથ જેવી પ્રતીભા પાંગરે.
બાકી મહેફીલમાં રહેવામાં જ વાહ વાહ , પદ , પ્રતીષ્ઠા મળે!!!!
અદભુત… વાહ.. બંને ઑડિયો સાંભળવા અને અંદર ઉતારવા ગમે એવા છે…
રવીબાબુ ની જન્મ દિન ની ભેટ અદભુત મલી..

વાહ! ખુબ જ સુંદર બંગાળી ગીત.
પણ ગુજરાતી ગીતને સાંભળી શકાતું નથી.
